Dress rehearsal

After many miles by air and land I have arrived at the starting line of the Great Divide. For logistical reasons I will start in Canmore, but I did the first leg yesterday from Banff to Spray Lakes on my mountain bike, unloaded…

It was hard. The trails were rocky and steep, the scenery just beautiful. Quite a contrast to the stunningly posh town of Banff. Bustling with tourists, one store after the after. That madness stopped right past the trailhead. Only a few runners and mountain bikers were on the trail, just for day rides, like me.
